Organic Baby Products on TV
I watch the morning shows while taking care of household chores such as cleaning, cooking, laundry etc. Every now and then when something interesting catches my eye, I sit down and watch which gives me a great excuse to take a break and rest a moment.
That’s exactly what I did when I heard them talking about the latest baby products and must haves. I was interested because my daughter will give birth very soon and anything baby related is within my radar nowadays. It’s her first pregnancy so everyone in the family is quite excited. I sat down to watch the show and was surprised how most of the featured products were either organic, natural or fair trade. This is really becoming a trend and more and more mothers pay close attention to what materials their baby’s clothes, foods or toys are made of. I wonder if manufacturers listened to mommies who requested these environmentally products for their babies, say organic cotton onesies, and started manufacturing them to meet the demand; or are they pushing these products via media and making new moms believe they need them. Either way, if it is good for the environment and the precious baby, I’m all for it and support the industry fully.
On the TV show they featured organic baby clothes made from 100% organic cotton, bpa free bottles keeping baby’s milk safe from chemicals, fair trade blankets benefiting a women’s cooperative in Senegal and baby foods made from farm-fresh certified organic ingredients. I think I will get for my grandchild one of those cute onesies they had from First Step Organic.
