The Benefits of Brick Paver Sealer
Decorative brick pavers are becoming a popular choice for many outdoor projects from patios to walkways, and from decks to entire driveways. Brick pavers can be laid out in decorative circular patterns or other unique designs to create a one of a kind look to any home’s outdoor appeal. When these bricks are laid on a solid foundation and locked together properly with sand and then sealed with a paver sealer it makes for one durable and long lasting surface. These bricks come in many different colors and shapes and can be collectively put together to from almost any shape or to fit into most any area. Once the pavers are laid in the desired layout, very fine sand known as baby sand is then poured in between the bricks to fill the cracks. After this, the excess sand is clean off and a paver sealer is apply that will form a film on top of the bricks and will solidify the sand to a concrete like hardness. The paver sealer will help lock the whole design in place so that bricks will not shift around. The paver sealer also protects the pavers from moisture which can deteriorate the material. Another added benefit to a quality paver sealer, is that you can use a gloss finish sealer that will give the entire area a shiny wet look that will be very attractive. It will also make it easy to clean up any spills or stains that may otherwise ruin the pavers.
